The second release wave for the Power Platform was announced earlier this month and is rolling out from October 2025 through March 2026, and early access is already available. This wave doubles down on Microsoft’s commitment to enterprise-ready AI and focuses on smarter automation, enhanced AI assistance, better security, and stronger governance.

Power Apps

AI is at the core of app building in this release wave, enabling you to describe a business problem in Plan Designer and have AI agents deliver the apps, reports, and tools you need. New “agent-ready” apps let you supervise agent activity and handle routine tasks, while modern, responsive designs ensure they look great with no extra effort.

  • The offline database sync toggle for Canva Apps allows you to choose to sync offline database only when connected to WIFI. PP: Sep 2025 | GA: Nov 2025
  • Smart paste allows you to quickly complete forms by pasting structured data that Power Apps automatically maps to the right fields. GA: Oct 2025
  • Copilot helps you fill out forms with real-time suggestions and predictive field entries. GA: Oct 2025
  • Copilot turns the data in your current view into instant visuals, without switching to Power BI, for faster insights. GA: Oct 2025

Power Automate

Smarter automation and less maintenance is the theme to these updates aimed at helping you team automate complex tasks faster and more reliably. An automation center for large-scale oversight and a process map showing how related flows connect allow enterprises to scale with confidence.

  • Cloud flow enhancements
    • Copilot expression builder allows users to create expressions in cloud flows by describing them in natural language. General Availability (GA): Dec 2025
    • Debug in real-time capabilities. Troubleshoot condition logic directly at runtime. GA: Dec 2025
  • Desktop flow enhancements
    • Virtual machine (VM) image capture allows you to capture a VM image on a hosted machine and use as a template for other hosted machines. Public Preview (PP): Nov 2025 | GA: Dec 2025
    • Record steps on your desktop and automatically turn them into flows with record with Copilot. GA: Dec 2025
    • Custom action naming can be done directly in the flow designer making flows easier to read. GA: Oct 2025

Power Pages

AI is the driving force behind Power Pages advancements helping you to build secure, intelligent portals with minimal hassle.

  • Security and compliance agents monitor websited for threats, like DDoS or spam, and flag problematic content during both design and runtime. PP: Mar 2026 | GA: TBA
  • Unified access control lets you sync web roles with Dataverse security roles to reduce manual role management. PP: Oct 2025 | GA: TBA
  • Built-in code scanning automatically checks for vulnerabilities as you build your site. PP: Oct 2025 | GA: TBA
  • Create or delete sites using command-line interface (CLI) for easier deployment and ALM processes. PP: Jan 2026 | GA: TBA

Microsoft Copilot Studio

This release focuses on helping you build autonomous agents that actually help by expanding integrations with Microsoft 365 Copilot and better connections with Azure AI Foundry and Microsoft Graph.

  • Computer use lets you train AI agents by learning from human computer usage patterns. GA: Oct 2025
  • Intelligent approvals will allow oyu to use Copilot to approve or reject requests based on context, history, and predefined rules. GA: Oct 2025
  • Bring your own model (BYOM) to replace the default language model with a custom model deployed in AI Foundry to get tailored responses. GA: Nov 2025
  • Request for Information actions allow AI agents to pause workflows and request human input before continuing. GA: Oct 2025
