Union Rescue Mission Case Study – Supporting Citizens with Power Platform
Caring is the core of the Union Rescue Mission. As LA’s oldest and largest homeless shelter, Union Rescue Mission has been serving people experiencing homelessness in California since 1891 through their long-term transformation and rehabilitation programs in multiple facilities. The dawn of COVID-19 earlier this year posed critical challenges, which led the Union Rescue Mission to collaborate with our team to build an attestation app (a solution in which a person “attests” to a set of questions and signs to confirm) and tracking solution for their staff members. Recently, Chris Amerine of Union Rescue Mission worked with us to detail their problem, the solution and the benefits received from building this solution using Microsoft’s Power Platform.
In this case study, we outline the story of how the Union Rescue Mission and Compass365 worked together to rapidly deploy solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate and SharePoint Online to ensure the safety of their staff members and guests they serve.
Thank you to Chris Amerine and the Union Rescue Mission for the amazing work they do for California citizens experiencing homelessness. In any given year, the Mission serves more than 1 million meals, hosts 250,000 nights of shelter and conducts thousands of health and legal clinics. It has been our pleasure, along with our Technical Services team at General Networks, to be of service to the Union Rescue Mission.
