The Intelligent Information Systems (IIM) division of General Networks Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Microsoft 365 Content Management – Sr. Solutions Consultant to join our Professional Services team on a full-time basis. Job Description

As an expert on the M365 platform, you will work with a team of professional services consultants, led by a project manager, to implement and configure M365 and add-ons as a content services platform, perform content migration, advise our customers on best practices around the various M365 components, test & troubleshoot the implementation, train users, and provide technical support.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct workshops with users and stakeholders to identify functional requirements, develop a data map of all their content, perform ROT analysis and cleanup, and determine what to migrate to M365 and what to leave and govern in place.
  • Configure M365 site collections and site templates based on best practices.
  • Configure governance tools, such as M365 Records Management, Gimmal, and AvePoint.
  • Apply governance to sites and configure site provisioning policies.
  • Apply and configure retention policy on content across the platform, including SharePoint Sites, Teams, and One Drive.
  • Migrate content from file shares and other sources into SharePoint, applying appropriate metadata, permissions, and governance policy.
  • Utilize AI technology and other methods to automatically classify records and apply metadata.
  • Develop test scripts, test, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
  • Manage and support user acceptance testing and get sign-off.
  • Provide user training enabling users to leverage the capabilities of the platform to organize their content, easily find documents, and collaborate on content with internal and external users.
  • Document requirements, functional design specifications, and configuration settings, and provide knowledge transfer to operational/support IT teams.
  • Follow best practices in change management to increase user adoption.
  • Prepare for and actively participate in all project meetings, including kickoff, status meetings, user workshops, etc.
  • Track and manage project risks, action items, issues, and decisions.
  • Build and provide demos and presentations for sales activities, user education, and technology introduction or update.
  • Work with Sales to develop scope and implementation estimates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Ability to work directly with end users and managers
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in SharePoint Online including hub sites, site collections, libraries, content types, lists, term store, user groups, etc.
  • Experience with SharePoint to SharePoint and file shares to SharePoint migration
  • Conceptual understanding of the M365 platform including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, the Power Platform, and AI capabilities which can be applied to solving business problems
  • Broad technical knowledge, including understanding of operating systems, database engines, APIs, application integration, development tools, cloud services, computer processing, memory, storage, etc.
  • Seven years of experience in SharePoint, M365 and other technologies
  • Technical leadership skills in designing solutions that utilize SharePoint/M365 and add-ons and the ability to guide a team of consultants in configuring and developing the solution

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in project management including managing a team of consultants, scope, timeline, client expectations, risks, action items, issues, and decisions
  • Experience with agile project methodology
  • Experience with any of the following tools: Microsoft Syntex document processing, Active Nav Discovery Center, M365 Records Management, Gimmal Records, AvePoint Cloud Governance

Benefits and compensation:

Base salary:

$110,000/yr – $135,000/yr
