SharePoint Document Management Specialist

Compass365 is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven SharePoint Migration Specialist with Document and Records Management experience to join our SharePoint Platform Services team. Compass365, a Microsoft Gold Partner and division of General Networks Corporation, is located in Southern California and works with a diverse group of clients throughout the US, ranging from non-profits through F100. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a client-facing analytical role and has a track record of planning and executing complex migrations into SharePoint Online. You will lead migration assessment conversations with our clients, and you’ll be an integral part of an experienced team of migration consultants to follow through to implement the Modern Workplace, including document and records management, for enterprise organization using SharePoint and Teams. Since 2007, we’ve successfully delivered hundreds of SharePoint/Teams migrations for customers throughout the US. With long term clients in California and Hawaii, we are seeking someone based in PST or MST.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Working in a fast-paced remote team environment
• Leading SharePoint/Teams migration assessment meetings with business stakeholders
• Facilitating discussions on deploying document and records management in Microsoft 365
• Analyzing business content and solutions for migration
• Recommending what and how content should be migrated and what should not
• Documenting a migration plan based on content and collaboration needs
• Supporting the business stakeholders throughout the migration process

• A foundation of SharePoint migration methods, tools, and process
• Expertise in SharePoint Document and Records Management
• Experience with SharePoint governance and RM tools such as Purview, Gimmel, etc.
• Ability to plan, organize, and conduct assessment and design meetings over Teams
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to self-study along with on-the-job training
• Strong communication skills, team player, and highly responsible
• Passion for working with SharePoint Online, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 tools
• Strong remote work ethic – proactive, independent, and responsible
